Taylor

Taylor Swift has become a uncommon pop sensation: A star who strayed completely from the world of country music to pop culture and became an iconic pop star that is set to last forever and conquering every corner of the globe. Swift shed her roots in the country genre like a second skin and showed that she was the most refined pop sensibility in her time. Swift was the only artist/singer who could follow the zeitgeist of popular music on the road. These skills were evident on her first hits, particularly the Neo-Tribute Tim McGraw but her second album in 2008's Fearless featured a singer-songwriter figuring out who she was and, in doing so, gaining an audience of mass. Fearless wound up having considerable appeal not just in the U.S. where it racked up six platinum singles thanks to Top Ten hits Love Story and Belong with Me Belong with Me but throughout the world, with a particular success within Australia, U.K. Canada and Australia. Swift's new album Speak Now, released just two years after the previous one, built on this momentum. It propelled Swift into the spotlight. Through her next three albums, Red (2012) 1989 (2004) and Reputation (2017) and Reputation, the popularity of Swift grew, and she became part of a world of pop music where it was clear that she belonged. Even though she had slowed the production of her folklore album, and Evermore released in 2020, she was nevertheless leading the way in pop music.
