Kari Samantha (born April 28th in 1967) Wuhrer is a famous American actor and singer. She started her acting career when she was when she was in her teens. She was best known as Maggie Beckett from the TV show Sliders as well as for the role of Sheriff Samantha Parker on the horror film Eight Legged Freaks. She has 3 siblings. The singer began performing in clubs as a teenager, and would sneak out of her house to sing. She took drama classes in Columbia University, Marymount Manhattan College, Marymount Manhattan College and the Royal Academy of Dramatic Art where she had a teacher known for her work as Uta. Kari began acting at the age of a teenager. Her breakthrough occurred in 1987, when she was introduced to MTV Remote Control.
